Cleaning Up Your City: The Litterbug Project & Altitude Coffee Roasters

The Litterbug Project is an organization created by a personal trainer, ultra-athlete, and accessibility advocate in Brantford, Ontario – Spencer Moore!

I wrote about him last year when he ran the Spartan Race, and he’s still doing great things both locally and nationally! On the 3rd Sunday of every month he, alongside his partners and friends at Altitude Coffee Roasters, host a clean up of a designated area in the city – often with free coffee and treats donated by Altitude!

Today’s event was a litter clean up and surprisingly the Grand River didn’t have a ton of it! It was awesome! The birdsong was incredible and everything was so lush and green. I put together a little 5 minute soundscape from the river that you can watch, too!

I just wanted to highlight how important it is to pay attention to the world around you and all the great things that are going on everywhere you go! There are people who are open and willing to do the small things every day to make the spaces we live in healthier, safer, and more beautiful!
